Women For Women is a powerful podcast created by Afghan journalists in exile to preserve the voices of Afghan women facing systemic oppression. The platform documents stories of survival, resistance, and dignity, while raising awareness about the education bans and human rights violations occurring in Afghanistan.
We built a compelling and emotionally resonant podcast platform using WordPress, designed to place audio content front and center. Our work involved integrating a custom podcast player with episode categorization, creating a modern and accessible user interface that reflects the gravity of the stories shared. We implemented newsletter sign-up functionality to grow their community, built custom post types for seamless episode management, and applied technical SEO best practices (including metadata and schema markup) to ensure each episode is easily discoverable across search engines. The site is fully responsive for on-the-go listening.
